** NOTICE NOTICE **
Prior to our regular communication on November 8, 2017, there will be a meeting of all grand lodge members and wardens at 7:15 pm. Take due notice and govern yourselves accordingly.

From The East

My Brothers,

If you haven't heard and or seen it on Facebook we are having a good year so far!

Fun was had by all who attended our first ever outdoor movie night. We did a double feature with the Nightmare Before Christmas and Young Frankenstein.

Our first fundraising event for the year was An Evening with Spirit and Medium Deanna Fitzpatrick. It was a fun event and a great success that netted $825. Thank you to the officers and their better halves for helping with both of these events.

Our next fundraiser is our ANNUAL ALL YOU CAN EAT PANCAKE BREAKFAST on Saturday November 25th. Please come out and support the lodge and have fun with a great meal.

The holidays are quickly approaching and it is the time for giving. For The Thanksgiving Holiday, we will be providing boxed dinners for 10 needy families. The lodge will provide the frozen turkeys, and we the members can provide the rest. I am proud to say I have received a great response by the brothers of this lodge. Thank you.

The next one is near and dear to my heart! This will be our 3rd year in a row of giving toys to the kids at the Ronald McDonald House. Please bring any new unopened "nice" toy (no coloring books or crayons, we are looking for quality gifts, something you would give a family member) to the November and December's Stated Communications.

Every gift submitted will earn you a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize. The winner will be drawn at the December's meeting and the winner will have their dues paid for the next Masonic year.

The Grand Lodge of A.F.& A.M. of Delaware is signed up to be part of the HERO Program with Blood Bank of Delmarva. Call 1-888-8-BLOOD-8 and make an appointment to donate. After your blood donation, fill out a HERO Card with Grand Lodge of Delaware Freemason. (This is so GL can track our success).

FYI - refreshments for after our meeting with be cheeseburger mac and cheese.

Thank you!

May the Great Architect of the Universe bless you and your families!

Fraternally Yours,
W∴M∴ Stephane (Steve) G. Sabourin, PM

Message From The Grand Master

John Marinucci, Grand Master 2017
Brethren, please allow me to introduce myself ‐ I am John W. Marinucci, Grand Master of Masons in Delaware for the 2017‐2018 Masonic Year.

Brethren, we spend too much time focusing on the loss of members and

not enough time enjoying what we have! We will manifest that which we hold in our hearts and minds. If we continue the negative dialogue that Masonry is on the decline ‐ it will be. However, if we change that to a positive message ‐ That we are a selective organization and only the best of the best are accepted ‐ Brethren, we will grow. After all ‐ who wants to board a sinking ship ‐ NOBODY. But on the other hand ‐ EVERYBODY wants to be part of an elite organization.

My brothers, Masonry is NOT on the decline as long as its most valued tenants remain within our hearts and guide us in our daily lives. And let's not allow ourselves to be distracted from the real work of Masonry by getting caught-up in a numbers game because as we continue to guard our West Gate, membership will naturally wax and wane. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you as Grand Master and always remember, we have the privilege of living in the land of the free only because of the sacrifices of the brave
