    What's In Your Cup

You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.

Why did you spill the coffee?

    "Because someone bumped into me!!!"

    Wrong answer.

You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup. Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.

Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out. Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.

So we have to ask ourselves..."What's in my cup?"

When life gets tough, what spills over? Joy, gratitude, peace and humility? Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting tendencies?

Life provids the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.

Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affrmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

    Legacy

    Have You Considered
    Leaving A Legacy?

Have you considered leaving a Legacy to your lodge, St. John's Lodge No 2? If you have, please make sure that St. John's Lodge No 2 is included in your Wills and Trusts so that your legacy can continue to help promote Freemasonry in the State of Delaware long after you have left your brethren behind. Freemasonry in Delaware has just celebrated its 200th anniversary. With your help, maybe it can celebrate its 300th one day.

May your coffee be stronger than any challenges you may face today. But if not, remember: don't throw your cup at anyone. You need it for refills.

    ‐ Nanea Hoffman

"I am a member of one of the oldest and largest fraternities for men in the world. The square and compasses I wear on my lapel has for centuries been recognized throughout the world as a symbol of truth, morality and brotherly love and are the vurtues that we strive to exemplify throughout our lives." ‐ Cayman Lodge No. 8153
